Corrections to “Predicting Personality Using Answers to Open-Ended Interview Questions”

In the above article [1], unfortunately, we had made an error when we reported results in Table 3 for the LIWC method. This only affects the results reported for the LIWC method and the rest of the results remain the same. Furthermore, it has no impact on the main thesis of the article that language used in responding to typical open-ended interview questions is predictive of one’s personality. In fact, it further strengthens this thesis as the new results confirm both closed-vocabulary and open-vocabulary approaches can be used to predict personality from interview responses. The corrected Table 3 is presented here with a discussion on the implications of the correction.
