Development of algorithm for monitoring saturation and residual magnetization of current transformer magnetic core

The article deals with monitoring the state of electromagnetic current transformers magnetic cores in real time mode. The algorithm can be used in digital measuring current transformers (CTs) and in specialized devices for diagnosing these phenomena in traditional electromagnetic CTs. The spectrum of the current transformer signal is analyzed under various operating modes. Diagnostic signs of saturation and residual magnetization of the magnetic core are highlighted. Methods for operability assurance of the algorithm in the presence of interharmonic and aperiodic components are presented. The results of the algorithm study in the presence of noise and impulse actions are presented.
