Exponential Bipartite Consensus of Linear Fractional-Order Multiagent Systems With Signed Directed Graph: An Output Feedback Approach

This paper aims to solve the exponential bipartite consensus problem of linear fractional-order multi-agent system (FOMAS) with signed directed graph. Unlike most of the existing works using the relative full state information of neighboring agents, a continuous observer-based output feedback bipartite consensus (OFBC) controller using only the relative output state information of neighboring agents is proposed to address the problem. Under the mild assumption that the signed directed graph has spanning tree, it is theoretically shown that the exponential bipartite consensus of FOMAS with the proposed continuous observer-based OFBC protocol can be achieved if the protocol parameters are selected suitably based on some linear matrix inequalities.
