Multi-user Concurrent Access Method for Computer Interlocking using Dynamic Thread Pool

In order to meet the training requirements of interlocking simulation and solve the problem of slow online response in multi-user situation, a multi-threading implementation method is proposed according to the characteristics of computer interlocking, and the concepts of queue storage mechanism and the thread pool are introduced into the interlocking program. Firstly, the queuing model in the computer interlocking system is established according to the theory of queuing system, and then the working mode of the dynamic thread pool is designed. On this basis, in order to make the thread pool’s size adapt to the changes of system resources and the quantity of users, an adaptive scheduling algorithm based on the average time is designed to realize the scheduling of tasks and the dynamic adjustment of threads. Finally, the queuing model and the dynamic scheduling algorithm are applied to the interlocking program, and the effectiveness of the method in adjusting the size of thread pool, reducing response time and improving response failures is verified by comparative experiments.
