THz Based Multiband and Wide Single Band Metallic Patch Antenna Using Defected Ground Structure

In this proposed paper we presented a planer patch antenna with defected ground structure, whose frequencies ranges from multiband and single wideband. The overall size of the metallic patch antenna is 6.5x12.5mm2 with 50Ω impedance matching microstrip feed line. The simulated results of this configuration are return loss, VSWR, radiation pattern, surface current and gain. Bandwidth of the metallic patch antenna with their respective frequencies are 1.25% at 0.032 THz, 1.32% at 0.057 THz, 1.17% at 0.069 THz, 12.22% at 0.080 THz, 0.97% at 0.093 THz and 3.61% at 0.112 THz. The whole operation has been performed by using CST Microwave Studio.
