Abstract:

A circular slotted Substrate-Integrated Waveguide (SIW) antenna is presented in this paper. The introduced antenna is designed to operate at 28 GHz for 5G applications. The antenna has three circular slots for wave radiation. The observed antenna gain is 10.9 dBi with 93.2% radiation efficiency. The antenna exhibits a fractional bandwidth (FBW) of 14.2% at its resonant frequency and a front-to back ratio of about 15 dB. The antenna will be useful for mmWave beamforming applications.
