Performance Analysis of Universal Motor Based on Matlab Simulation

Modern technology, such as processing equipment that runs on an electric motor, is used to prepare goods on a medium and large scale. The electric motor selection was determined to be necessary to avoid damage to equipment, products, and the processor facility due to power apparatus imbalance. It must be considered in the design and fabrication of equipment or machines. This paper studies the choice of Universal Electric Motor for the domestic or industrial applications and behaviour of selected motor models for AC and DC supply with SIMULINK of MATLAB. The speed and current characteristics are compared on both supplies, and it concludes that speed, current, and some other parameters achieve better DC supply than AC supply.
