An IoT based Data Analytics for Electric Bicycle using OpenModelica Simulation Tool

A bicycle powered by means of electric power is an less expensive, strength-green, and emission-loose transportation alternative that improves public health and mitigates environmental damage. It has been shown that electric ultra-light bikes will be a significant component of sustainable public transportation in the future, reducing emissions and congestion. Currently, a simulation platform is required in order to test multiple systems. In this paper, a description for the simulation framework for electric bikes that operate with pedal assistance has been provided. A real-time simulation has been conducted using the OpenModelica connection editor. A number of factors affected the existing system. The GUI for this application was built with Python and allows the user to monitor and change parameters from it. A functional mock-up unit (FMU) is created so that a simulation model can be run in another simulation tool, such as Matlab.
