A comparative Study on the use of Deep Learning for the Early Detection of Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a disruptive brain disorder. It currently has no cure, therefore it's diagnosis in the early stages plays a crucial role in the prevention and intervention of the disease progression. This paper performs a comparative study to aid in the interpretation of AD using brain MRI scans and developed via robust deep learning models which can adeptly locate the areas of abnormalities using medically verified bio-markers. The prime goal of this study is to provide software-aided fast and reliable diagnosis of AD by also implementing an augmented reality version for better visualization of the human brain. We are adopting the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) database as the target realm.
