Development of Smart Agricultural System (IoT) for Crop Productivity

Web-of-Things (WoT) is a process that involves different sensors or actuators or both that provides connection to the world of internet either heads on or via a different process. Farming quality get improved with the use of modernized systems such as Internet of things (IoT). Agriculture also plays the main role in economics and survival of individuals in India. Damages to crops are done by either extra irrigation or deficit of irrigation. Presently, in Indian agriculture 83% of the entire water is consumed on fields. Wastage of water is caused when there is no planning regarding its proper usage. In this paper, ThingSpeak and NodeMCU, an IoT platform is integrated with Arduino Technology, Breadboard combined with various sensors is demonstrated, which will help the farmers to monitor their crops by using a computer or phone from anywhere and at any time, parameters such as moisture, humidity, temperature etc. in order to reduce his efforts while simultaneously maximising the use of water Sensor data is uploaded to an IoT platform, and if a value falls below a certain threshold, an urgent alert is issued to the user via email, allowing them to take immediate action.
