Research on the Design of Household Intelligent Sorting Garbage Bins Based on Raspberry Pi

Since the traditional household garbage bins lack independent identification of recyclable garbage and non-recyclable garbage, a design method for smart garbage bins to automatically identify garbage based on Raspberry Pi is proposed. Through the Raspberry Pi, Arduino development board and USB camera, an overall framework of the system is built, the software and hardware design ideas of garbage bins in the implementation process are explained, and the application of image recognition in garbage sorting is researched. The experiment demonstrates that the system can operate stably and sort accurately, which reduces the waste of resources of traditional garbage bins, achieves the purpose of accurately identifying and sorting garbage, and has a good application prospect in garbage sorting.
