Reactive power optimization for AVC system based on decoupled interior point method

Reactive power optimization is not only an important means to ensure the safe and economic operation of power system, but also one of the important measures to improve the voltage quality of power system. This paper proposes a reactive power optimization for AVC system based on decoupled interior point method. Firstly, the paper expounds the basic principle of reactive power optimization of AVC system; Then, the reactive power optimization for AVC system based on decoupled interior point method is completed. Finally, taking the AVC system of Qinghai power grid as an example, the research results show that this method can minimize the power system network loss.
