Force analysis and optimization of steering arm of towed chassis

In order to meet the actual support requirements of aircraft, the towed chassis steering arm of a certain type of ground support equipment was optimized for its small bearing capacity and large steering thrust. The optimization program is divided into three steps: firstly, three-dimensional modeling of the steering arm is carried out by SolidWorks software to calculate the steering thrust of the steering arm, and static stress analysis of the steering arm is carried out by SolidWorks Simulation software to obtain the accurate force of the steering arm; Then, the steering arm is modified preliminarily, and the final optimization of the steering arm is carried out by using the method of static finite element analysis and iterative optimization of design examples, and the optimal solution is obtained. Finally, the performance of the steering arm before and after optimization is compared to verify the feasibility of the optimization scheme.
