Malfunction Analysis of Strain Clamp Wire Jumper in 500kV Transformer Substation

In this paper, the failure of strain clamp wire jumper and the broken steel anchor is analyzed, including macroscopic inspection, size measurement, composition analysis, hardness testing, tensile performance testing and metallographic organization observation, etc. With emphasis on the inspection of crimping quality, the comprehensive analysis results show that the fault of tensioning wire clamp is mainly caused by the wrong sequence and the failure of upper and lower die in the construction of tensioning wire clamp. In addition, some suggestions on production and operation and maintenance are put forward.
