Research on Optimal Deformation Strategy of FAST Active Reflector Based on Whole Network Node Control

The active reflector is a crucial component of the 500-meter-aperture spherical radio telescope (FAST). The major issue for receiving celestial reflection signals quickly is how to change the active reflector from the reference sphere to the working paraboloid. For starters, because the sphere and paraboloid are both totally symmetrical structures, this transformation may be described as a transition from an arc to a parabola. The parabola family controlled by parameter h can be determined from analytical geometry based on the unique position of the feed cabin’s focus plane. Second, we create a model of the main cable node’s displacement decomposition. The node’s lateral deviation is decomposed into meridional and latitudinal displacement. A weighted complete examination of three indexes: radial displacement range, meridional displacement range, and latitudinal ring length change rate yields the best answer. The ideal paraboloid equation is then rotated around the y-axis and the z-axis progressively through rotation transformation, and the matrix expression of the transformation is obtained, in order to obtain the ideal paraboloid equation after rotation, according to the position of the celestial body. Finally, the fast main cable node control model based on PSO is constructed using the usual particle swarm optimization algorithm. To reach the global optimal solution, the distance difference between the ideal paraboloid and the working paraboloid is examined and iteratively optimized as the fitness function.
