IoT Based Municipality Drinking Water System through NFC and SCADA

India, the second largest populated country in the world consumes large amount of basic natural resource i.e., drinking water. In India households are provided with municipal drinking water supply. The delivery of the drinking water to each individual of each house has to be proper which is somehow not taken care of. Water supply through tankers as well as tap supplies are not quantized (not set proper limitation) as a result overuse and misuse of drinking water is observed. This paper focuses on a proposal idea on IoT based technique to monitor and limiting the supply of municipality drinking water both tanker supply and tap supply using Near Field Communication (NFC) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. This would make sure each person gets a particular and fixed quantity of drinking water for each day.
