Reducing the noise in power quality disturbance with VMD

In this paper, an improved variational modal decomposition (VMD) denoising algorithm is proposed. Firstly, the noisy signal is decomposed into several intrinsic modes (IMF); Then the correlation coefficient algorithm is used to determine the optimal number of decomposition layers; The relevant modes and useful components are extracted and reconstructed to obtain the denoised signal. Practice shows that this method has better denoising effect than traditional empirical mode decomposition and wavelet decomposition.
