Development and Validation of a Biosignal Measurement Device to Assist in Teleoperated Diagnosis

In general, offshore work has a set of activities with a high degree of danger and difficult to monitor. Furthermore, after the COVID-19 pandemics, the remote medical evaluation has become essential for the well-being of the professionals involved. Therefore, a portable bio-signal measurement equipment that has the ability to transmit remote data and that permits an interaction between medics and patient is very important in this field. In addition, the medical assessment of these professionals can be greatly improved, as the data generated by these devices can be accessed via the cloud, enabling a more complete and assertive medical diagnosis. This article describes and evaluates measuring equipment with the aim to increase the monitoring of these professionals and speeding up the diagnosis of possible abnormalities, preventing accidents and deaths at offshore work.
