Spin-Transport Study in Strontium Titanate Based Two-Dimensional Electron Gas Created by Argon Ions

Ever since the discovery of two-dimensional electron gases (2DEGs) at the interface of oxides at SrTiO
3
/LaAlO
3
¹
, there has been growing interest in understanding the fundamental mechanism behind their properties such as superconductivity, ferromagnetism and ultrahigh mobility. Essentially, spin-orbit coupling is also strong in 2DEGs and in-turn high charge-to-spin interconversion due to Rashba-Edelstein effect as well as its inverse effect is possible. So far, spin-to-charge conversion has been studied using spin pumping technique at low-temperature. Characterizing consistent conversion efficacy at room temperature using multiple techniques like spin-pumping, spin-torque ferromagnetic resonance is more crucial for low power spin-orbit torque magnetization switching application.
