End-Point Energy Determination of Electron Beams from the Saturn Accelerator 3-Ring Pinched Beam Diode

An experiment to determine of the end-point energy of the electron beams of the 3-ring pinched beam diode on the Saturn accelerator was performed. Typically, end-point energy for this bremsstrahlung x-ray source is indirectly calculated through unfolding the x-ray spectrum measured by an x-ray depth-dose spectrometer. Because these unfolds are ill-posed problems, and the end-point energy itself is coupled to the unfold methodology, we decided to try to make a direct measurement of the electron energies in the diode using electron depth-dose profiles (DDP)
