Characteristics and Applications of High-concentration Ozone Generators

Industrial demand for ozone concentration in wastewater treatment has increased year by year. A minimal ozone concentration of 30,000 ppm is required for the current industrial standard. In the present study, a high-concentration ozone generator was created. The generator consisted of an oxygen concentrator, 4 dielectric barrier discharge

(DBD) devices, 4 power factor correction circuits, 4 half-bridge series resonant converters, an ozone analyzer, and an electrochemical ozone sensor; particularly, the DBD devices were connected in series to enable the generator to generate 90,000 ppm of ozone at 5 liters per minute as well as monitor the ozone concentration in real time.
