Cellular Network Data Transmission via RPAS and Satellite

For the first time, the operation of a two-way communication channel for a ground base station with Remotely Piloted Air System (RPAS) was modeled, which is connected directly and through a low-orbital satellite to the cellular network users. Original models were created to simulate data exchange using the NetCracker software considering a different number of clients. The dependences of the average load of the “Base Station-RPAS” channel on the Transaction Size (TS), data transmission rate and the number of bit errors were received. The data obtained make it possible to analyze the advantages of a certain mode of information exchange and calculate the relative increase in the communication channel load with the increase in the number of cellular customers.
