Extension Controller for Wind Turbine Pitch System

In order to improve the dynamic performance of the variable rotor system of wind turbine, the extension control method is used to design the controller of the variable rotor system. Firstly, the simulation model of the variable rotor is established based on the direct-driven wind turbine with permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG), and then the extension controller is established by controlling the qualification degree (correlation degree) of the input variables to control the output correction. The PID controller and the extension controller are respectively used to carry out the simulation comparison under the same conditions. The simulation results show that the extension controller designed has faster response speed and stronger robustness, which can well improve the dynamic performance of the wind turbine variable rotor system.
