Research on the Development and Testing Technology of Domestic Chip Relay Protection Devices

As the core equipment of the power grid, the relay protection device's self-control plays a key role in the safe and stable operation of the power grid. The development of high-performance, high-reliability domestic chips and the localization of core components for relay protection have become the development strategy of the State Grid Corporation of China. This paper analyzes the overall plan and future direction of the domestic chip relay protection device; according to the characteristics of each domestic core component, it proposes a targeted test plan for the relay protection device; also, it analyzes and studies the failure mechanism of the domestic chip relay protection through inspection and grid connection operation which verifies the practicability of the aforementioned test plan.
