Power Oscillation Characteristics of Large Power Systems under Random Disturbances

The vigorous development of clean energy and the large-scale connection of new types of loads to the grid have greatly increased the random factor of the grid, which is the main factor that has caused forced oscillation in recent years. The general forced oscillation theory explains that random disturbance can induce power oscillation by covering the frequency of the natural oscillation mode of the system. This paper compares narrowly-defined forced oscillations and general forced oscillations through simulation analysis in both time and frequency domain, and disassembles the oscillation components to obtain some general forced oscillation characteristics.
