Interval Optimal Dispatching of IES Considering Dynamic Characteristics of Natural Gas Network

Compared with coal-fired thermal units, renewable energy resource, i.e. wind energy, has the advantages of low cost and low pollution. However, wind energy has inherent uncertainty, thus resulting in “wind abandonment” and “low utilization efficiency of wind energy ”. The emerging of integrated energy system (IES) is helpful to solve the problem of wind energy accommodation, convert electric energy into other energy for storage, and improve energy utilization efficiency. In this paper, an interval optimal dispatching of IES considering the dynamic characteristics of natural gas pipeline is proposed, which can further improve the capacity of the system to absorb wind power. Firstly, this paper describes the mathematical model of wind power uncertainty, and constructs the natural gas dynamic storage model. On this basis, an optimal scheduling model considering the dynamic characteristics of gas network is constructed. Finally, Case studies are carried out on the IEEE24 bus electrical system and 20 bus natural gas system to validate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed approach.
