Gas Pipe Leak Detection Based On Circuit-Analog Tide Calculation

The leakage of gas pipeline network is one of the most common forms of gas transmission failures. In order to detect the leakage accurately and timely, it is necessary to study the leakage characteristics to distinguish abnormal signals caused by leaks from regular service variations. And the whole detection process would be carried out on an online monitoring model to meet instantaneity. In this paper, the leakage characteristics of natural gas networks are discussed, and a leak detection model based on tide calculation using finite difference time domain scheme was proposed. Case studies indicate that this model can effectively filter the measurement noise and accurately identify the natural gas leakage fault during online dynamic monitoring.
