Analysis of Electric and Magnetic Field of ± 660kV HVDC OTL Underlying Human Body

± 660 kV HVDC is Pakistan’s first-ever transmission line project. The transmission line is from Matiari to Lahore. The risk of lethal and harmful effects of Electric and magnetic fields from high voltage transmission lines on the human body and the living organisms in the vicinity is one of the most emerging and exciting subjects to study and analyze. The fundamental goal of this research is to calculate the static electric potential and static electric and magnetic field around and under the± 660kV HVDC transmission line in Pakistan. Calculation and analysis of electric and magnetic fields caused by DC high voltage overhead transmission lines in the presence of the human body are essential to determine the biophysical effects and to ensure public safety nearby the transmission line in Pakistan. The fundamental characteristics of this given field mainly depend upon the level of transmission voltage, current, and the position of transmission line conductors.
