A multi-band CAD mobile phone model for specific absorption rate calculation benchmarking

IEC/IEEE 62704-3:2017 describes the standardized procedure for the calculation of the specific absorption rate (SAR) of mobile phones using the finite difference time domain method. The standard includes some single and dual-band computer-aided design (CAD) mobile phone models as benchmark problems to verify the general approach for the numerical simulations of such devices. The standard is currently being revised to include up-to-date mobile phone models for the SAR calculations. Herein a multi-band CAD mobile phone model is proposed as a possible benchmark problem to be investigated as an international interlaboratory comparison.
