A Method for Sensing the Liquid in Infusion Bag

This paper proposed a method for sensing the liquid in infusion bag. The dipole antenna combined with an AMC layer is attached to both sides of the infusion bag to sense the liquid. It operates at 2.4 GHz when the infusion bag is out of water/liquid. When the infusion bag is filled with water/liquid, its radiation is suppressed. The proposed scheme is flexible, compact and simple to provide a novel method for biomedical wireless sensors for infusion bag. It is practical to be used in the hospital.
