Toward an End-to-End Metasurface Design Procedure for Power Pattern Synthesis

This paper extends an electromagnetic inversion algorithm for metasurface design which takes a desired (phase-less) power pattern and computes the required metasurface susceptibility profile. The proposed method incorporates a model of the metasurface unit cells that considers near-field coupling effects to allow for physically realizable unit cells. The developed end-to-end design method is summarized, and used to create a physically realizable omega-type bianisotropic metasurface.
