Small Footprint Triangular Shaped HF band NVIS Antenna based on Noise related Parametric Studies

A low-profile triangular shaped HF band receive antenna is optimized for a long-distance communication system for Near-Vertical Incidence Skywave propagation. Currently, antennas that are used for this purpose are generally half-loop profiles that require bigger surface area. An alternative shaped antenna is optimized that is easy to be fixed on the vehicle with similar noise related performance. The antenna is validated by comparing the measured ambient noise with the reference curves.
