A Compact Waveguide-Based Reflection-Type Phase Shifter

In this paper, a waveguide-based reflection-type phase shifter is proposed. The phase shifter is composed of one orthogonal mode transducer (OMT) and one polarization converter. The linear-polarization signal is input from one single-mode port of the OMT, and then transferred to the polarization converter through the common port of the OMT. The signal is reflected and converted to orthogonal linear polarization. As such, the orthogonal signal can be output through the other single-mode port of the OMT. The phase can be tuned by changing the position of the polarization converter.
