Simplified Human Body Models with Reduced Types of Tissues for MRI at 1.5T

Simplified human body models with a reduced number of tissues are developed using the Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM). Different tissues are grouped into several clusters based on the tissue electrical parameters. Using three human body models (the Duke, the Ella, and the Obese) from the virtual family project, electromagnetic simulations were conducted for original models and simplified models respectively when the models are under the emission of an MR RF coil. The electrical field distributions were extracted for comparison.
