A New Dual Port Antenna Structure for RF Energy Harvesting Feeding 360° Scan Aperture Sensor

In this paper, a new compact size dual port patch antenna is realized on Teflon glass substrate with a size of 30x15mm

for RF energy harvesting system in order to feed two motion sensors with a scan aperture of 180° for each one, resulting in an energy autonomous sensor system with a total scan aperture of 360°. ports respectively. The measured frequency bandwidths are of 2.3GHz for the 1

port, ranging from 4.7GHz to 7GHz, and of 1.2GHz for the 2

port, ranging from 5GHz to 6.2GHz. The measured isolation $S_{12/21}$ is of -25 dB in all the frequency bandwidth. The radiation pattern of this antenna is close to that of an omnidirectional one which is suitable to RF energy harvesting applications.
