Dual Band Slot Antenna with Suppressed Higher Order Harmonics for Wireless Power Transmission

A compact Rectenna embedded with Z-slot is presented in this paper. Dual band characteristics are obtained at 2.45 GHz and 5.1 GHz by using microstrip fed slot antenna. The rectifier and antenna both are fabricated on same substrate FR-4. The need of LPF is omitted from the proposed rectenna to suppression of higher order harmonics at both bands due to the slot at the ground of the antenna. Proposed structure is suitable for WLAN applications according to IEEE 802.11b/g/n, and IEEE 802.11a/n standards, respectively.
