Wheelchair prototype with elevator based on scissors system for people with lower limb disabilities

It was decided to build a prototype of a wheelchair with an elevator, whose operating principle is based on the scissors system; The wheelchair is motorized so it will have movement of the wheels that can be controlled by the user himself through the use of a smartphone which is connected to the control board through a Bluetooth module, a signal is sent activation of the elevator motor being able to lift the patient from the ground. Thus, the movements of the chair are also controlled by means of the same smartphone, this remote control system was chosen for low cost, in addition, this technology is familiar to most users. The project is part of an investigation developed within the Polytechnic Faculty (National University of Asunción), with the same it is intended to improve the quality of life of people with lower limb disabilities so that they can function on their own. It is possible to improve the quality of life, the physical performance in the day to day of people with disabilities is one of the main objectives of the project. Lower limb disability can be caused by cognitive diseases or as in many cases: traffic or work accidents, amputations caused by diseases such as diabetes, among others.
