Study on 1.5μm Laser Properties of Er³⁺/Yb³⁺ Co-doped Fluoroaluminophosphate Glass Fiber Materials

co-doped glass is a good gain dielectric material for $1.5\mu \mathrm{m}$ laser fiber amplifiers. In this paper, Er
³⁺
/Yb
³⁺
co-doped fluoroaluminophosphate glasses were prepared by high temperature melting and equal component replacement. Under the 980nm LD, $1.5\mu \mathrm{m}$ laser characteristics were studied. The results show that the $1.5\mu \mathrm{m}$ emission is greatly affected by the ratio of Er
³⁺
/Yb
³⁺
doping concentration. When the Er
³⁺
/Yb
³⁺
doping molar ratio is 1 mol%: 5 mol%, the maximum fluorescence intensity is achieved. And the absorption cross section and emission cross section are 2.075 pm
²
and 1.11 pm
²
, respectively. The gain coefficient is 1.649 mspm2. Meanwhile, the fluorescence half-height width is 48. 3nm, and the fluorescence lifetime is 2. 08ms. The results show that Er
³⁺
/Yb
³⁺
co-doped fluoroaluminophosphate glass material is an excellent gain medium material for high gain, high bandwidth and high flatness fiber amplifiers.
