Research on learning community construction strategy based on FDP clustering algorithm

Students lack learning motivation and practical ability generally in universities. We can build learning communities to solve this problem. This paper designs a learning community construction strategy based on Felder-Silverman learning style model and FDP clustering algorithm. Based on students' processing, perception and understanding, we use FDP clustering algorithm to homogeneously cluster their learning styles, to help teacher analyze students' learning styles and facilitate instructional design, then heterogeneously construct learning community according to students' learning performance. This strategy makes learning community construction more reasonable, it takes both heterogeneous and homogeneous grouping into consideration, and it can construct learning community of learners with different learning styles and ensures that the learning ability are comparable.
