CBIA Image Recognition Trademark Implementation on Mobile

Trademark is a kind of mark used by producers and operators of commodities in order to distinguish the commodities produced and operated by themselves from those produced and operated by other commodity producers or operators. This mark is usually composed of words and figures. However, there are numerous kinds of goods in different countries and regions in the world, and there are many corresponding trademarks. How to identify commodity trademarks efficiently and quickly to obtain the meaning behind them, whether for commercial purposes or scientific research purposes, distinguishing different trademarks is of great significance. Trademark cognition can be applied to give consumers an easy and efficient information acquisition experience, promote the transformation from consumers to investors, and greatly facilitate the financial industry’s cognition of trademarks. Different trademarks have their own designs in words and graphics. Because the traditional manual trademark recognition method is time-consuming and labor-intensive, using mobile image pickup technology to directly extract the commodity information behind the trademark has become a very promising research topic. In this paper, CBIA technology based on content-based image analysis is applied to realize the complete function of trademark recognition system on the mobile terminal. According to the photos taken by the mobile terminal, the commodity trademarks in the pictures are recognized, which is suitable for business scenarios that need to quickly obtain brand information. Trademark recognition has been promoted from basic research to practical application.
