Layout Optimization of Manufacturing Workshop Based on System Analysis

The proposal of Industry 4.0 has started a new round of industrial revolution, and there are still some small manufacturing enterprises with vague production modes. In order to make the small manufacturing industry better transition to the advanced manufacturing mode, this paper takes the production line of a plate processing workshop as an example, through systematic analysis, investigates the process flow and production layout of the production site, and points out the existing problems in the production site, aiming at improving the production efficiency. Based on the ideas of ECRS and lean production, the optimization scheme is put forward from the aspects of production line layout, buffer setting and path optimization. Finally, the simulation software is used for simulation modeling. The simulation results show that, after the improvement, the production capacity and personnel utilization rate of the production line are significantly improved, and the output of products A, B and C are increased by 45.14%, 40.06% and 58.90%, respectively, reaching the expected target and improving the market competitiveness.
