Simulation and Optimization Analysis of Vehicle Cooling System

At all stages of automotive product development, it is very important to estimate and optimize cooling system performance. The simulation analysis is efficient and accurate, which can provide the optimal scheme, better guide system design and development, improve research and development efficiency, shorten development cycle and cost, and enhance the performance and reliability of cooling system. In this paper, by means of CAE, a cooling system model of a certain automobile is established by using flowmaster, carried out the steady-state simulation calculation under different working conditions. The results of the original scheme show that when the temperature difference of radiator meets the requirements, the flow and temperature rise of the cabin heater and HP EGR cooler does not meet the requirements of the specification, and the system pressure loss is too large. The optimization scheme suggests that the oil cooler and the air compressor are arranged in parallel. When the flow rate and temperature rise meet the requirements, it is recommended to increase the pump capacity to 220L/min@2.2bar.
