Review of optimized FSFCL effects on the Transient Recovery Voltage of a Circuit Breaker at 550 kV

When the power supply and load fluctuations in the 550 kV power grids of the Extra high-voltage level cause a fault and the Short Circuit Current (I
sc
) level rises abruptly, the level of the circuit breaker becomes too high, causing severe interruption and compromising the safety and stability of the power grid. Therefore Fast Switch Fault Current Limiter (FSFCL) plays an important role here. FSFCL is a technically efficient measure that solves the most severe short circuit current problem in a 550 kV power grid. However, FSFCL slows down the Transient Recovery Voltage (TRV) growth that develops in the Circuit Breaker (CB) and controls the rate of rising of the recovery voltage (RRRV). Therefore different issues need to be considered when resolving a power interruption CB to be compatible with FSFCL. To control short circuits in 550 kV ac power grids, FSFCL needs to be developed financially. To follow the GA multi-objective to know the exact parameters of FSFCL and CB to withstand voltage the short-circuit level of FSFCL according to TRV. So the improvement in FSFCL will be solved following this method.
