Design and Analysis of a Neural Networks Based Parallel Buck-Boost Converter to Improve Stability in DC Micro-Grid

This study presents an innovative Neural Network (NN) based controller for cascaded control of parallel buck-boost converters. An NTSMC-based inner current loop controller and an NTSMC-based outer vol loop controller are suggested to enhance the o/p vol regulation performance of a BB converter. While connecting a DC/DC converter to the micro-grid, the NN controller-based vol synchronisation controller (VSC) can provide plug-and-play needs by synchronising the converter’s o/p voltage with the vol at the point of common coupling (PCC). The PCC is intended for use in micro-grid systems on a modest scale. The inertia of converter-interfaced DGs can be improved with the NN. In the simulation, the postulated NN control is effectively implemented, and outstanding dynamic performances are demonstrated under the given operating conditions. MATLAB/Simulink is often used to model the suggested system.
