Model Simplifications of a Subway Vehicle for Computation of Energy Consumption

This paper analyzes simplifications to the model of a subway that targets the computation of energy consumption. For this, the complete dynamical model is used as a reference. In order to reduce computational efforts, different simplifications are performed and the simulation results are compared. Energy consumption results differ for the type of simplification applied. Up to 15.3% difference can be observed.
