Environment Dependent Propagation Response of High Frequency THz Band Antenna in Short Range

The propagation response of THz band photoconductive antenna in short-range direct link configuration in the presence of realistic environments has been presented. It is observed that the nearfield channel
${(< 2.5\ \text{cm})}$
response is highly dependent on the specific distribution of the nearby reflective surfaces, especially at higher frequencies (above 1000 GHz). This work would be critical in developing short-range nanoscale channel model for device-to-device and smart sensor networks.
