Research and Design of Modular Energy-fed AC/DC Virtual Load

In order to achieve precise control of the input side of the virtual load, the test is more flexible, simple, and more automated. At the same time, the virtual load can feed back energy to the grid to save power and greatly reduce the cost of the test. By fully considering the volume and weight required by the technical indicators, this paper proposes a modular energy-fed AC/DC virtual load. First, the system scheme of virtual load is introduced. It is composed of multiple identical virtual load units in series and parallel. Each module unit is composed of a PWM rectifier, a bidirectional DC-DC converter and a full-bridge inverter. On this basis, the control strategy of each link is introduced, and finally the effectiveness of the proposed scheme is verified through experiments.
