PV, Battery and Diesel Powered Microgrid Solution for Power Supply in Remote Oil Field Scenario

Microgrid technology can be applied to remote oil fields to solve the power supply problem. By making full use of green and clean distributed renewable energy to generate electricity, it is expected to reduce the cost of power supply and reduce carbon emissions, which may become an important development direction of the oil field power supply system in the future. In this paper, a PV, battery, and diesel-powered microgrid solution for the power supply in the remote oil field scenario is proposed. Firstly, a typical remote oil field scenario is introduced and analyzed. Based on the scenario, the traditional power supply solution for the remote oil field scenario is introduced, and the existing problems of the power supply system in the remote oil field are analyzed and pointed out. According to this, we propose a PV, battery, and diesel-powered microgrid to solve the power supply problem in the remote oil field. A systematic simulation-based case study is carried out based on HOMER software, in which the feasibility and economy of the proposed power supply scheme are analyzed. The results show that the proposed solution has a good economy, feasibility, and environmental protection property.
