Transmit Antenna Selection Assisted Spatial Modulation for Energy Efficient Communication

The primary objective of this work is to improve the average bit error rate (ABER) performance of spatial modulation (SM) by incorporating various transmit antenna selection (TAS) schemes. At first, Euclidean distance-based antenna selection (EDAS) scheme is implemented for SM. It gives better ABER, but the computational complexity of this scheme is high. To overcome this drawback of EDAS, low complexity TAS schemes are implemented and their ABER performance is compared with the EDAS scheme. Investigation of antenna selection gain is done for the different counts of available antennas.
