Modeling of Lithium-ion Batteries: An Overview

In today's world, the major issue is towards Electric Vehicle (EV) range forecasting. The Battery health and the capacity are the important factors for the EV's in automation industries. Battery models are necessary for safe charging/discharging and ideal usage of it. The Li-ion batteries have good characterastic features such as high power and energy density, environmental protection, and long battery life, so they are predominately used in EV applications. The battery models are the key for the estimation, prediction, and prognosis of EV batteries used in automobile applications. This article will emphasize about the Lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery designs for Automation Vehicles. Also, it gives a comparative analysis of their advantages, disadvantages, and applications.
